Adventuring is a recognized profession in Rifts Earth. They are sometimes conflated with mercenaries and travelers. The way adventurers are welcomed depends on the community they encounter. Small wilderness towns and villages usually shun them, as they are afraid of the baggage, especially enemies, they may bring with them. There are exceptions, communities who welcome and cater to adventurers, but these are often the breeding ground for sin and iniquity.
